Mrs. Wies Wagenaar is a Social Psychologist. She started her career as a crisis management consultant and after completing her forensic medical research course she worked as a consultant at KPMG Forensic &Integrity.
She investigated the root causes of fraud and corruption in business, gave advice on integrity management and ethical business. In 2014, she was asked to set up a new department at ABN AMRO that would focus on behaviour and ethics.
Her team of behavioral scientists and philosophers identifies behavioral risks, designs and leads behavioral change projects, facilitates ethical decision-making and compliance learning. As of 1 January 2021, she is responsible for the Global Centre of Expertise on Behaviour, Ethics & Learning of the bank, which works on stimulating desired behaviour (Behavioural Change) and reducing Behavioural Risk.
